Accordingly, this Privacy Policy outlines the information that RUN Hong Kong Limited (“RUN” or “we”) collects from visitors to our website (“you”), donors, and volunteers, and how that information will be collected, stored or used. By using our website, you accept and consent to the policies and practices described in this Privacy Policy. 

RUN reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a new or updated privacy policy. We recommend that you review the current version of our Privacy Policy for changes. Your continued use of this website after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may track certain information that is non-personally-identifiable when you visit our website. Data is collected in aggregate and anonymously, which may include the type of Internet browser you are using, the type of computer operating system you are using, the pages you visited on our website, and how you arrived at our website. RUN also has access to your IP address, which is not connected to any personal data. 

RUN may also collect personal data that you voluntarily provide to us, including through an inquiry (such as name, email address, and phone number), or a questionnaire (such as email, name, phone number, and physical address), which we use for purposes described in this policy below. If you make a donation to support our sports and education programmes to rehabilitate vulnerable refugees, a third party company, Kindful, will collect personal information from you in connection with your donation. 

USES OF INFORMATION WE COLLECTED

The main purpose for collecting personal data is for one or more of the following purposes, including, but not limited to: (1) the provision of services for donations, sponsorships, volunteering events, and refugee programmes; (2) the provision of direct marketing and updates via e-mail, e-newsletters, or social media in relation to donations, sponsorships, volunteering events, and refugee programmes; and (3) administration and management. 

RUN does not presently use IP addresses for any reason, but reserves the right to use them in order to help us improve our website. We also may use your non-personal information (including personal information that has been de-identified) for any reason at our sole discretion. 

In any case, whether you submit such personal data (including contact information) to us is wholly at your option. If at any time you decide that you no longer wish to receive communications from us, please follow the access procedures described in this policy below. 

 

COOKIES

A cookie is a small file stored on your computer that contains anonymous information about your Internet use. Usage of a cookie does not result in any personal data about you being made available solely as a result of your having visited our websites. Cookies are also used to measure usage of various pages on our website to help us make our information more pertinent to your needs.

BROWSING

We do not collect personal data from your computer when you browse our website and request pages from our servers. Unless you voluntarily provide us with personal data, we will not know your name, your email address, or any other personal data.

All information that we collect through our website is stored under password protection to block unauthorized access from outside of RUN. Information collected on the website covered by this statement is generally processed and stored in Hong Kong.

RUN may provide your personal information to select third parties as we deem appropriate in the following limited circumstances: (1) to protect and defend the rights or property of RUN; (2) to comply with a court order or other legal process; or (3) to governmental authorities, in the sole discretion of RUN, in exceptional circumstances, such as a national emergency, security concern, or other situation in which RUN deems such disclosure prudent.

E-MAILS ABOUT PROGRAMMING AND OPT-OUT

It is our intention to send you only e-mail communications that will be useful to you and that you want to receive. These communications may relate to RUN programmes. When you receive an e-mail, you will be provided the choice to opt-out of future e-mails by following the instructions provided in the e-mail.

RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA

RUN will retain the personal data provided by you for a reasonable period of time to implement the purposes for which such personal data is collected or to comply with applicable laws.
