Originally from the UK, my husband and our 3 children have called Hong Kong home since 2008. I was first introduced to RUN through their Corporate Challenge, and some outreach work on migration topics hosted in my children’s school.
In early 2020 during Covid, a close friend invited me to join her on RUN's Hiking to Heal programme, helping prepare participants for events such as the HK100. It was truly inspiring spending time on the trails with the refugees, witnessing their resilience and being part of the camaraderie and excitement of the challenge. During lockdown, it emphasised how critical sport and nature is for our personal well-being.
Importantly, it allowed me the chance to get to know the other the board members and to understand the full scope of the work this wonderful charity undertakes. I was invited to join the Board at the end of 2023 and am both humbled and excited to be part of this fantastic team.
I work for a global financial services firm and am passionate about inclusivity and helping individuals find the right opportunities to use the best of their talent and potential.
